Base Salary
$144k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build end-to-end video shopping experiences with low-latency rendering and responsive customer experiences.
- Lead engineers on complex projects serving millions of Amazon customers.
- Apply modern architecture patterns, state management, component-based design, design systems, and component libraries.
- Own projects end to end, including technical, product, and UX decisions.
- Optimize performance for high-frequency UI updates and complex state changes.
- Apply accessibility standards and internationalization best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering, UX, product, applied science, and marketing teams on video commerce experiences.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

- The base salary range is $158,100.00-$213,800.00 annually in New York or $143,700.00-$194,400.00 annually in Seattle.
