Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop robust cloud-based solutions using programming languages, databases, networking services, and AWS tools.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities, reduce technical debt, refactor systems, and optimize performance.
- Influence long-term technology strategy by evaluating emerging tools and practices.
- Mentor engineers and participate in internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience is required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7+ years coding with Go or Python, 3+ years with AWS, and 4+ years contributing to open-source frameworks.
- Preferred experience includes 3+ years with front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks and 4+ years creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, observability, distributed-system performance optimization, and at least 1 year mentoring engineers.
