Responsibilities
- Design, build, and launch production-grade conversational AI solutions from prototypes through scalable enterprise deployments.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, enterprise partners, sales, and AI platform teams to define user journeys, performance goals, and success metrics.
- Integrate and contribute to Connectly’s AI platform and help influence its technical direction.
- Experiment with LLM-based agents, retrieval systems, and automation pipelines to improve customer engagement.
- Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Python, AWS, Kafka, Postgres, and DynamoDB.
- Establish and iterate on AI performance metrics and use data to optimize outcomes.
- Plan and manage the workstream while balancing deadlines, quality, and innovation.
- Mentor teammates, participate in code reviews, and uphold engineering best practices in a distributed environment.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Experience building and scaling enterprise systems using Python, AWS, Kafka, Postgres, and/or DynamoDB.
- Frontend engineering experience with React, TypeScript, or similar technologies is a plus.
- Experience developing or deploying conversational AI applications is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with prompt design, agent evaluation, and LLM-based system integration is a significant plus.
- Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric startup or high-growth technology environments is preferred.
- Strong communication, system-level thinking, product sense, technical rigor, and ability to work through ambiguity are expected.
