Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for ARM-based processors using C and C++.
- Develop and maintain system test applications using C, C++, and Python.
- Implement real-time controls, signal processing algorithms, and inter- and intra-process communications.
- Collaborate with hardware and FPGA engineers to define software requirements and system architecture.
- Debug software and hardware integration issues using lab equipment and debugging tools.
- Conduct integration, system, and hardware-in-the-loop testing to validate embedded software quality and performance.
- Document software designs, development processes, test plans, and test results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
- 3–10 years of experience in embedded software development.
- Proficiency with C/C++ and Python/MATLAB.
- Understanding of microcontroller and microprocessor architectures and peripherals.
- Familiarity with JTAG, oscilloscopes, and signal analyzers.
- Knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet communication protocols.
- US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with AMD/Xilinx SoC devices, radar concepts, signal processing, Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Confluence, cybersecurity principles, RTOS, and embedded Linux.
