Responsibilities
- Configure, administer, and optimize Okta Identity Engine for DoD identity workflows.
- Implement the Okta Embedded SDK and secure authentication flows for partner applications.
- Develop mobile identity integrations for native iOS and Android applications.
- Implement OAuth 2.0, OIDC, PKCE, FIDO2/WebAuthn, SAML 2.0, adaptive authentication, and risk-based authentication policies.
- Manage identity federation, authentication tokens, API authorization, and identity lifecycle processes.
- Build identity automation with Okta Workflows and integrate Okta with DoD authoritative data sources and enterprise IAM services.
- Troubleshoot identity, federation, mobile SDK, and authentication issues across DoD environments.
- Use REST APIs and Postman for API development, testing, and validation.
- Integrate IAM capabilities into DevSecOps pipelines and ensure compliance with DoD RMF, DISA STIGs, NIST SP 800-63, and related mandates.
Requirements
- BA/BS with 5 years of experience, MS/MA with 3 years, PhD with 0 years, or high school diploma with 9 years of experience.
- Experience administering Okta Classic Engine or Okta Identity Engine.
- Experience implementing the Okta Embedded SDK and secure custom authentication flows.
- Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, PKCE, identity federation, SAML 2.0, and identity provider integrations.
- Experience with FIDO2/WebAuthn, adaptive and risk-based authentication, mobile authentication for native iOS and Android, token lifecycle management, API authorization, provisioning, and directory synchronization.
- Experience with REST APIs and tools such as Postman, plus strong authentication, federation, SDK integration, and troubleshooting skills.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust are required.
- Preferred qualifications include Okta Administrator or Professional certification, Security+ certification, large-scale implementation experience, knowledge of NIST SP 800-63, and experience with CAC/PIV, derived credentials, mobile credentials, identity proofing, identity verification, or credential issuance services.
