Base Salary
$119k - $131k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead software architecture, design, documentation, implementation, code review, and automated testing for complex features and sustainment releases.
- Own security remediation, root-cause analysis, system improvements, and resolution of customer-impacting software issues.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support for design reviews, code reviews, planning, estimation, and engineering practice improvements.
- Collaborate with systems, test, cybersecurity, and customer stakeholders to define solutions, verify system behavior, and support deployment and operational readiness.
- Develop reliable software supporting SATCOM, electronic warfare, and operational missions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related STEM field plus at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree plus at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance at the time of hire and ability to obtain a polygraph within a reasonable time.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for access to classified information.
- Demonstrated production software development expertise in Python, Java, C, C++, or comparable object-oriented languages.
- Strong Unix/Linux development and troubleshooting experience, including shell scripting and system-level debugging.
- Experience with software architecture and design, automated unit and integration testing, and maintainable, well-documented code.
- Technical leadership experience in design reviews, code reviews, complex debugging, and mentoring or guiding less-experienced engineers.
- Preferred experience with SATCOM, CI/CD pipeline design and implementation, Docker, automated test frameworks, and DevSecOps.
- Ability to work on-site and communicate complex technical information clearly to engineering and program stakeholders.
