Embedded Software Engineer
Persistent SystemsResponsibilities
- Architect, develop, and implement C/C++ software for embedded Linux hardware platforms.
- Develop Wave Relay® network software, including network stacks, backend services, cryptographic and security features, Java applications, and low-level programming.
- Participate in code reviews and the software development cycle.
- Collaborate with developers and business leaders to build solutions to new problems.
- Support internal and external testing, evaluation, and deployment activities at test locations, military facilities, and customer sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience using C/C++.
- Experience with Java and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with REST and WS APIs and UNIX socket networking.
- Experience with unit testing and dependency injection.
- Must have or be able to obtain a US security clearance.
- Preferred: master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: experience with Linux kernel development, cryptographic software development in C/C++, UNIX shell scripting, and SQL databases.
