Responsibilities
- Collaborate with ML and software engineering teams on production systems.
- Write, test, and maintain production-quality code.
- Design, train, experiment with, and evaluate ML models, algorithms, and solutions.
- Own cross-team projects and provide technical leadership.
- Monitor current AI research and incorporate relevant findings into models and methodologies.
- Represent Bloomberg at scientific and industry conferences and in open-source communities.
- Publish product and research findings in documentation, whitepapers, or academic publications.
Requirements
- Practical experience with machine learning problems and familiarity with classical machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling techniques.
- Ph.D. in ML, NLP, or a relevant field, or an MSc in computer science, ML, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related field with previous relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in software engineering.
- Understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms, with a data-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with engineering peers and non-engineering stakeholders.
- A publication record in top conferences and journals is preferred.
