Base Salary
$87k - $182k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and implement software project deliverables throughout the software development life cycle.
- Develop and modify front-end and back-end applications using Java, Python, JavaScript, and Oracle databases.
- Design and implement enhancements, new functionality, and system changes based on Government requirements.
- Troubleshoot software defects and analyze database performance to recommend improvements.
- Apply secure coding practices and mitigate vulnerabilities to support cybersecurity compliance.
- Support application release pipelines in development environments and track code and database changes using Jira.
- Research AI, data structures, algorithms, and data analysis techniques to improve AI models and develop innovative solutions.
- Analyze system architecture and propose modernization upgrades.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to support financial and information technology audit compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Five or more years of experience with Java, Python, similar programming languages, and/or PL/SQL development.
- Experience with current AWS AI services, modern AI frameworks, and AI security, privacy, and regulatory considerations.
- Experience defining and designing complex requirements and solving software problems effectively.
- Ability to obtain an Interim/Secret clearance; current and active Secret clearance is preferred.
- Ability to support off-hours and weekend coverage as needed.
- Experience with AWS RDS for Oracle and strong database development experience is desired.
- Experience with Python frameworks such as Django is desired.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Jira is desired.
- Experience supporting the Department of Defense or other Federal agencies is desired.
- Experience with DoD PPBE data and processes is desired.
- Security+ certification is desired.
- Strong planning, organizational, communication, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
