Base Salary
$102k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and operate production-grade generative AI and multimodal systems with end-to-end ownership.
- Contribute to technical design for retrieval-augmented generation, context and memory, orchestration, and other core GenAI capabilities.
- Define and improve model and system quality using evaluation frameworks, experiment design, production telemetry, testing, and regression coverage.
- Collaborate with security, privacy, and compliance partners to meet enterprise requirements and Responsible AI standards.
- Partner with product teams and customers to translate scenarios into APIs and developer experiences and support adoption through documentation and samples.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree and 4+ years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced degree in computer science, machine learning, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, memory or agent frameworks, and shipping generative AI systems, including multimodal systems, is preferred.
- Experience with enterprise AI compliance and security standards, delivering enterprise-facing AI products at scale, and operating ML/AI systems in cloud environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and Azure is preferred.
