Responsibilities
- Design and build systems for pensions, retirement savings, contributions, onboarding, provider integrations, employer configuration, card issuing, and wallet provisioning.
- Own technical architecture for the Investments stream and integrate with pension, savings, payment, and card providers.
- Contribute to frontend development using React and TypeScript when needed.
- Join client calls, understand customer problems, and proactively shape the product roadmap.
- Use AI in day-to-day development, code review, and delivery workflows.
- Contribute to code reviews and technical planning while keeping owned systems stable and observable.
- Help shape the Investments team’s processes as it grows.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience building backend systems in production.
- Experience with .NET 10, PostgreSQL, Azure or AWS, and the ability to work in React and TypeScript.
- Experience designing and maintaining third-party API integrations.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, event-driven patterns, correctness, and auditability.
- Clear communication skills for working with engineers and customers.
- A product mindset, proactive roadmap contribution, and comfort with ambiguity and ownership.
- Careful consideration of reliability, security, and compliance in a fast-growing startup.
- An AI-forward mindset and willingness to use AI tools in daily engineering work.
