Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure containerized applications on AWS using Kubernetes/EKS, ECS, and Fargate.
- Ensure solutions meet public-sector security and compliance requirements through secure IAM, VPC, network policy, and secrets-management practices.
- Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation and create automated CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, and GitLab.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on AWS container services and guide teams on secure cloud operations.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and incident response for containerized applications using CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, and related tools.
- Collaborate with the LECP Head of Architecture, EKS team, government stakeholders, and clients.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of AWS cloud architecture experience, with a strong background in government or public-sector projects.
- Advanced expertise in AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, and Route 53, especially secure VPC design, subnetting, and IAM policy management.
- Hands-on Kubernetes/EKS experience covering cluster management, security policies, and multi-tenant environments.
- Proficiency deploying containerized applications on ECS and Fargate.
- Experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar infrastructure-automation tools and CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, and GitLab.
- Active SC and NPPV3 clearance, or willingness and ability to obtain both clearances.
- Familiarity with GDPR, ISO27001, NCSC guidelines, and public-sector compliance controls.
- Knowledge of secure-environment monitoring and logging solutions including CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-presentation skills.
