Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and maintain Java 21 and Spring Boot microservices.
- Build and maintain React and TypeScript frontends using Vite.
- Manage Terraform infrastructure configurations deployed to AWS ECS.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms integrated with related systems.
- Contribute to application architecture and design artifacts and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets and develop visualizations and reporting to improve software applications and systems.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for code generation, refactoring, unit testing, and documentation, validating outputs through review, testing, and secure coding practices.
- Identify data patterns and hidden problems to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and emerging technology events.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least three years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in Java, React, and JavaScript.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Knowledge of software applications and technical processes in areas such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile technology.
- Preferred experience with AWS Cloud.
