Responsibilities
- Own solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support for OutSystems features and integrations.
- Build new applications, integrations, and capabilities while maintaining and evolving existing mission-critical systems.
- Connect OutSystems applications with external systems using sound architecture, error handling, and integration practices.
- Perform unit and integration testing, fix bugs, and ensure production-quality code before merge.
- Document technical decisions and patterns and mentor more junior developers through code review and example.
- Organize, estimate, prioritize, and deliver work independently while raising blockers with investigated options.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software development experience, including a minimum of 2 years building on OutSystems.
- Hands-on experience with OutSystems ODC and/or O11.
- Strong backend and integration fundamentals, including REST APIs, JSON, authentication patterns, and error handling.
- Understanding of solution architecture and application performance, with the ability to estimate and prioritize delivery.
- Experience with unit and integration testing and subsequent bug fixing.
- Active use of AI-augmented development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Mentor, or similar.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Preferred experience integrating LLMs through APIs into enterprise applications.
- Preferred programming experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL databases and knowledge of database modeling.
- Preferred integration experience using AWS or Azure services.
- OutSystems certifications and experience in small, high-autonomy teams are advantageous.
