Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate AWS infrastructure covering edge services, networking, multi-account cell architecture, and Amazon EKS.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, upgrades, consistency, and drift prevention using infrastructure as code and GitOps.
- Partner with product and feature teams to translate their needs into self-service platform capabilities.
- Maintain platform reliability, security, cost efficiency, observability, autoscaling, upgrades, and compliance with FedRAMP and FIPS requirements.
- Participate in the shared on-call rotation and design new platform capabilities for scale, resilience, and emerging workloads.
- Help evolve multi-region and cell-based platform architecture while supporting AI and agent workloads.
Requirements
- Typically 5+ years of experience as a Platform, DevOps, Software, or Site Reliability Engineer.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong hands-on AWS experience across networking, edge, and compute, including technologies such as VPC, CloudFront, API Gateway, and EKS.
- Solid Kubernetes experience, ideally with Amazon EKS.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or OpenTofu and a GitOps approach.
- Ability to balance operational work, automation, cross-team requests, and greenfield platform design.
- Production mindset focused on uptime, security, efficiency, and quality.
- Clear communication skills in English.
- Preferred experience with compliance-driven environments such as FedRAMP or FIPS, internal developer platforms, and cell-based or multi-region architectures at scale.
