Responsibilities

  • Independently analyze, troubleshoot, and break down complex tickets while identifying dependencies across teams and epics.
  • Support product refinement by creating and analyzing development tickets.
  • Follow team architectural decisions and contribute to brainstorming, proof-of-concept implementations, and prototypes.
  • Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing, test coverage improvements, coding standards, code reviews, and system hygiene.
  • Support product launch, release planning, cross-functional collaboration, and go-live activities.
  • Analyze product adoption and identify customer journey improvements for enhancement requests.
  • Use AI tools for code generation, testing, debugging, optimization, and repetitive-task automation.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI/ML capabilities where appropriate and stay current with emerging AI practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of professional industry experience operating at a mid-level engineering standard.
  • Full-stack development and web application development experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language and knowledge of software design principles, development tools, frameworks, and relevant domains.
  • Strong understanding of coding standards, code reviews, source control management, testing, and software engineering best practices.
  • Proficient knowledge of version control tools such as Git.
  • Ability to collaborate professionally and respectfully with others.
  • Production experience with Ruby on Rails is desired.
  • Node-based backend experience with TypeScript and Node.js is desired.
  • Experience with React or other modern client-side JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or Knockout is desired.
  • Salesforce development experience may be considered.
  • Agile software development experience is desired.
  • Must be based in Melbourne and able to work from the Melbourne office three days per week.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $79,500–$127,200 AUD per year.
  • Hybrid work arrangement requiring three days per week in the Melbourne office.
