Base Salary

$110k - $186k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement core server platform components.
  • Collaborate with developers using the platform and incorporate their feedback into platform evolution.
  • Improve team processes, practices, and technical capabilities through guidance and mentorship.
  • Scale systems through automation and make changes that improve reliability and engineering velocity.
  • Conduct blameless incident postmortems and complete remediation work.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies through proofs of concept and drive them to completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, Go, or C++.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience developing backend services.
  • Competency in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and software design.
  • Ability to diagnose technical issues, debug code, and automate routine tasks.
  • Experience working with relational databases.
  • Preferred experience with service decomposition, large-scale service development and operations, multithreading, concurrency, and parallel processing.
  • Preferred familiarity with cloud infrastructure, APIs, service meshes, proxies, caching, and observability technologies.

  • Salary range of $110,000 to $186,000 applies to employees in New Jersey and New York; ranges may differ in other states.
