Responsibilities
- Define the architecture, technical vision, and roadmap for TSMC’s enterprise infrastructure platform.
- Build private, hybrid, and multi-cloud compute, storage, and infrastructure-service platforms.
- Design resilient multi-region infrastructure for global deployments, disaster recovery, replication, service discovery, traffic management, and capacity planning.
- Lead self-service platform development, including environment provisioning, infrastructure automation, and golden platform templates.
- Drive reliability engineering, capacity management, incident prevention, performance optimization, SLOs, production readiness, and operational excellence.
- Partner with AI, data, network and security, and application teams to establish scalable common platform capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams in North America and Taiwan.
- Design and build platform services, operators, and infrastructure tooling.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of software engineering or infrastructure engineering experience.
- At least 3 years leading architecture for cloud-native platforms or distributed infrastructure.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, Distinguished Engineer, or Technical Lead.
- Deep expertise designing enterprise infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including cloud networking, compute, storage, identity, and resilience.
- Strong experience with Terraform, Ansible, infrastructure automation, configuration management, and provisioning automation.
- Deep understanding of high availability, fault tolerance, consensus algorithms, service discovery, distributed scheduling, load balancing, event-driven architecture, scalability, CAP theorem, and disaster recovery.
- Experience with ingress controllers, API gateways, global load balancing, DNS, and traffic routing.
- Strong software engineering skills in Go, Python, or Java.
- Strong technical communication skills for global cross-functional collaboration.
- Preferred experience supporting thousands of engineers, global engineering organizations, AI platforms, data platforms, manufacturing systems, hybrid cloud, or mission-critical enterprise environments.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.

- Base salary range is $137,300-$199,100 per year, with starting salary typically ranging from $137,300-$183,650.
