Base Salary
$137k - $199k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect highly available, scalable, automated private-cloud, hybrid-cloud, multi-cloud, compute, storage, and infrastructure platforms.
- Design resilient global infrastructure for worldwide deployments, disaster recovery, cross-region replication, service discovery, traffic management, capacity planning, and infrastructure resilience.
- Lead self-service platform engineering, including environment provisioning, infrastructure templates, and golden platform templates.
- Drive reliability engineering, capacity management, incident prevention, performance optimization, SLOs, production readiness, and operational excellence.
- Partner with AI, data, network and security, and application teams to establish consistent and scalable platform capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams in North America and Taiwan on common global infrastructure capabilities.
- Build platform services, operators, and infrastructure tooling using Go, Python, or Java.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of software engineering or infrastructure engineering experience.
- At least 3 years leading architecture for cloud-native platforms or distributed infrastructure.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, Distinguished Engineer, or Technical Lead.
- Deep expertise designing enterprise infrastructure on AWS, Azure, and GCP, including cloud networking, compute, storage, identity, and resilience.
- Strong experience with Terraform, Ansible, infrastructure as code, configuration management, and provisioning automation.
- Deep understanding of high availability, fault tolerance, consensus algorithms, service discovery, distributed scheduling, load balancing, event-driven architecture, scalability, the CAP theorem, and disaster recovery.
- Experience with ingress controllers, API gateways, global load balancing, DNS, and traffic routing.
- Strong software engineering skills in Go, Python, or Java.
- Preferred experience supporting thousands of engineers, global engineering organizations, multi-region deployments, AI platforms, data platforms, manufacturing systems, hybrid cloud, or mission-critical enterprise environments.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

- Starting base salary is typically $137,300 to $183,650 per year, with the Job Grade range extending to $199,100; compensation also includes profit sharing and incentive bonuses.
