Base Salary
$131k - $237k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure government cloud architectures covering landing zones, networking, identity, storage, databases, application hosting, monitoring, and other cloud services.
- Translate application, data, integration, performance, security, and operational requirements into scalable and supportable solutions while balancing security, reliability, performance, cost, and delivery time.
- Build, review, test, and troubleshoot infrastructure-as-code, cloud configurations, deployment automation, identity and access controls, networking, observability, and integrations.
- Resolve complex technical problems using logs, metrics, traces, targeted testing, and root-cause analysis.
- Design for government authorization using reusable authorized services, inherited controls, and platform capabilities while partnering with cybersecurity and RMF teams.
- Establish secure deployment and integration patterns covering artifact promotion, configuration management, automated validation, environment progression, APIs, data movement, and multi-enclave connectivity.
- Create reusable infrastructure-as-code modules, reference implementations, architecture patterns, deployment templates, technical standards, runbooks, and troubleshooting guidance.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship through delivery and operations, including production readiness, observability, resiliency, recovery, rollback, supportability, and capacity and cost planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, with 12+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may substitute for the degree.
- Extensive hands-on Microsoft Azure architecture and engineering experience across networking, identity and access management, PaaS services, application hosting, data services, security, monitoring, and resiliency.
- Experience architecting and delivering production systems in U.S. Government, DoD, or similarly regulated cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of government cloud security and authorization requirements, including zero trust, least privilege, security boundaries, inherited controls, and DoD RMF/ATO considerations.
- Experience with cloud landing zones, infrastructure-as-code, deployment automation, environment progression, and secure software deployment patterns.
- Experience architecting complex integrations across cloud, enterprise, and restricted environments, including identity, data movement, network boundaries, and multi-enclave solutions.
- Experience developing reusable cloud architecture patterns and technical standards for multiple applications, products, or engineering teams.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the U.S. Government security clearance and privileged environment access required for assigned work.
- Preferred experience with classified government cloud environments, including SIPR or equivalent.
- Preferred deep experience with Azure PaaS and data services, including Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, API Management, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Azure Policy, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Preferred experience with enterprise data, knowledge graph, analytics, or AI-enabled platforms in secure cloud environments.
- Preferred experience establishing cloud governance and FinOps practices across multiple subscriptions, products, or programs.
- Advanced Microsoft Azure architecture or security certifications are preferred.
Benefits
- The stated pay range is $131,300.00-$237,350.00 annually.
- This is a U.S. position and requires the ability to obtain and maintain the required U.S. Government security clearance and privileged environment access.
