Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, modify, integrate, and tune machine learning and computer vision algorithms and models.
- Research and prototype techniques for object detection, recognition, image classification, and related computer vision applications.
- Construct, train, evaluate, and tune neural networks using supervised and unsupervised learning methods.
- Build scalable machine learning systems and data-driven products using large datasets and big-data computation platforms.
- Engage customers and solution teams in product strategy, discovery workshops, integrations, and prototyping initiatives.
- Support recruitment, training, and development of ML/AI team members.
- Contribute to the broader ML/AI community through research, speaking, teaching, formal collaborations, or similar activities.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–5 years of work or educational experience in Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence.
- Experience with one or more of Java, C++, or Python.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as Caffe, Torch, or TensorFlow.
- Experience with image or video vision libraries and platforms such as OpenCV, Clarafai, or Google Cloud Vision.
- Knowledge of convolutional neural networks, statistical modeling, data extraction and analysis, and machine learning algorithm design.
- Experience developing feature learning, text mining, and prediction models such as deep learning, collaborative filtering, SVM, and random forest.
- Experience with big-data platforms and tools such as Hadoop, Spark, HIVE, Tableau, HBase, or Kafka.
- Experience working with cloud services such as AWS, Microsoft, IBM, or Google Cloud.
- Experience applying machine learning to real-world problems with large datasets and working with cross-functional teams.
- Experience or knowledge in areas such as Natural Language Processing, text understanding, classification, pattern recognition, recommendation systems, targeting systems, or ranking systems.
- Advanced degree is preferred.
- Contributions to research communities, including publications at conferences such as NIPS, ICML, ACL, or CVPR, are preferred.
