Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for multiple large-scale and complex global software solutions.
- Design, develop, integrate, test, debug, secure, and support enterprise transaction-based applications and microservices.
- Develop and consume APIs and web services, work with messaging applications, and troubleshoot multithreaded systems.
- Analyze application vulnerabilities and security issues and recommend or implement solutions.
- Perform performance tuning and improve recovery, stability, reliability, scalability, and performance for high-volume systems.
- Consult with users, clients, technology groups, business teams, operations, solutions teams, and application teams.
- Act as a subject-matter expert, advisor, and coach to senior stakeholders and less experienced analysts.
- Lead and develop globally distributed teams of 5–20 permanent employees and vendors.
- Track and run projects using Agile practices and manage changing priorities across LATAM, EMEA, and ASPAC time zones.
- Assess technology and business risks while supporting compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience successfully leading globally distributed teams.
- Strong software development experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, and React.
- Experience designing enterprise microservices and APIs, SOA solutions, web services, and complex application architectures.
- Experience with JPA, containerization, service registry and discovery, API gateways, logging visualization, JUnit, Mockito, and Test-Driven Development.
- Experience with application security, web security frameworks, vulnerability analysis, and secure system design.
- Experience building high-volume transaction systems with strong recovery, reliability, scalability, concurrency, and performance characteristics.
- Experience with JMS or MQ applications, ETL or Big Data concepts, database technologies, and UI or web programming.
- Experience working across Unix, Linux, and Windows operating systems and understanding internetworking, firewalls, and communication protocols.
- Project management, Agile delivery, stakeholder management, communication, leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
- Understanding of the credit card industry, HSM functions, and different types of cryptographic keys.
- Ability to work with limited supervision, exercise independent judgment, manage priorities, and provide rapid responses to software issues and management requests.
