Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate end-to-end cloud, on-premise, and hybrid integrations using SAP BTP Integration Suite.
- Build modular, reusable, enterprise-scale integration flows with routing, splitting, gathering, message mapping, and data transformation patterns.
- Use Groovy scripting for transformation, enrichment, validation, conditional execution, optimization, and maintainability improvements.
- Implement persistence, idempotency, retries, correlation, and resilience patterns for integration flows.
- Design and expose secure APIs with authentication, authorization, throttling, versioning, lifecycle management, and observability.
- Integrate third-party applications through connectors and enable event-driven, messaging-based integration architectures.
- Build AI-native integration agents for iFlow generation, mapping and configuration recommendations, anomaly detection, predictive operations, and conversational troubleshooting.
- Implement retrieval-grounded assistance using interface catalogs, mapping specifications, standards, runbooks, and incident patterns with appropriate safety boundaries.
- Create automated integration testing, schema and contract validation, payload regression, replay testing, API testing, and AI evaluation harnesses.
- Establish release gates, monitoring dashboards, alerts, correlation tracking, structured logging, message tracing, and failure-mode analysis.
- Apply integration advisory, governance, modernization, and maturity-enablement practices across enterprise teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Strong hands-on expertise with SAP BTP Integration Suite, cloud integration, iFlows, transformation patterns, and monitoring.
- Experience implementing message mappings, routing patterns, and transformations across JSON, XML, CSV, and other enterprise data formats.
- Practical Groovy scripting capability for advanced integration flow customization and performance tuning.
- Strong API design and management fundamentals, including security, throttling, lifecycle/versioning, and observability.
- AI-native delivery experience with tool-augmented workflows, retrieval-grounded outputs, measurable evaluation loops, and safe action boundaries.
- Experience with event-driven integration, enterprise messaging, connector-based third-party SaaS integrations, or migration from legacy integration platforms is beneficial.
- Experience with SAP PO/PI and API development is beneficial.
- Knowledge of integration governance, advisory methodologies, and enterprise-wide standardization is beneficial.
- The role does not center on training or fine-tuning foundation models from scratch.
