Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship backend services for LLM-based music fulfillment experiences.
- Build and maintain APIs and distributed systems for playlist experiences and session generation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop new product features.
- Act as a technical leader in an autonomous, cross-functional agile team.
- Prototype new approaches and scale solutions for millions of users.
- Contribute to the Spotify-wide backend developer community.
- Promote best practices in backend system design, testing, and deployment.
Requirements
- Experienced backend engineer with a passion for solving complex problems.
- Proficient in developing APIs and systems based on stakeholder requirements.
- Experience with distributed, high-volume services in production.
- Deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Familiarity with LLM-based systems and backend infrastructure.
- Experience with large-scale data processing tools like Apache Beam or Spark.
- Proficient with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, experimental work environment.
- Strong belief in data-driven decision-making.
