Base Salary
$42k - $75k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and test software modules for real-time data acquisition and control systems using LabVIEW, C#, and .NET.
- Integrate software with National Instruments PXI/cRIO hardware and other real-time data acquisition platforms.
- Develop relational database schemas, optimize queries, and integrate data using Microsoft SQL Server.
- Contribute to system architecture, object-oriented design, design patterns, code reviews, and version-control workflows.
- Document software features and testing procedures for internal and client use.
- Test, troubleshoot, deploy, and commission software solutions in office, laboratory, construction-site, and customer environments.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with a software development concentration at an ABET-accredited institution.
- Strong foundation in software development fundamentals, object-oriented design patterns, version control, and software development lifecycle practices.
- Ability to collaborate on software applications and data acquisition projects.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to project requirements.
- Preferred: experience with microcontrollers, home automation, single-board computers, data acquisition systems, National Instruments, UEI DAQ, Dewesoft, Chell, Ipetronik, LabVIEW, C#, .NET, databases, cybersecurity, MQTT, Redis, or Kafka.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work around facility equipment and electrical circuits up to 120VAC.

- Regular office attendance is mandatory, with office hours Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; overtime may be required.
- Interns are responsible for arranging their own housing; Amentum can suggest housing options.
- Travel to customer sites may be required for meetings, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
