Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Security team to improve automation and detection initiatives.
- Build and enhance security tooling, automated checks, and CI/CD pipeline controls.
- Analyze metrics and alerting workflows to reduce false positives and focus engineering efforts.
- Develop repeatable processes and playbooks for efficient incident resolution.
- Participate in a weekly on-call rotation as the primary incident responder and incident manager.
- Implement security strategies for AWS-based serverless infrastructure and authentication surfaces, including SAML single sign-on with online-banking identity providers.
- Manage information security policies, processes, tools, vendor risk management, and compliance controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and 2–4 years of related experience, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Security Engineer or in a related position.
- At least 2 years of cybersecurity technology experience in areas such as vulnerability management, security monitoring, data logging, and IAM.
- At least 1 year of experience with AWS security services including WAF, GuardDuty, IAM, KMS, and CloudWatch.
- At least 2 years of experience with tool integrations and TypeScript or Python.
- Experience in Security Operations, security monitoring, incident response, and threat intelligence.
- Proficiency in networking technologies, network security, and network monitoring solutions.
- Knowledge of authentication and single sign-on technologies including SAML and OIDC/OAuth, web application firewalls, and intrusion detection and notification systems.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Pulumi, SST, or Terraform and public cloud platforms such as AWS.
