Software Engineer Fraud Prevention Shipping
Mercado LibreResponsibilities
- Design and implement critical fraud-prevention features and scalable platform components.
- Analyze and resolve fraud-related business incidents in collaboration with the analysis team, prioritizing impact on monetary losses and user experience.
- Develop usable, performant, and resilient services with other fraud-prevention teams.
- Advise team members on technical decisions and participate in strategic technical discussions.
- Lead incident resolution during the team’s technical on-call rotation to maintain service stability and continuity.
- Automate operational processes using existing tools to improve team efficiency.
Requirements
- Full-stack development profile with backend experience in Java, SQL, and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of Nordic is desirable but not required.
- Frontend knowledge of React, HTML, and JavaScript.
- Experience using agentic tools for automation, development, and systems analysis.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools including Datadog, New Relic, and Kibana.
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns and software architecture best practices.
- Ability to write complex SQL queries and manage jobs.
- Experience designing, integrating, documenting, and versioning APIs.
