Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automated security playbooks and workflows using SOAR platforms.
- Develop AI-assisted workflows and integrate Large Language Models into security processes.
- Create custom scripts and integrations to connect disparate security tools and enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective data ingestion for automation.
- Promote automation across the Technology Services organization.
- Build and implement automation and AI agents to support technology initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual security tasks.
- Apply software development best practices to security operations.
- Work with vendors to develop solutions for security vulnerabilities.
- Document standards and operating procedures for automation architecture.
- Stay informed on security news and emerging AI technologies.
- Participate in project teams to ensure secure architecture of systems.
- Provide security requirements and recommendations for projects.
- Review systems for security compliance and write exceptions as needed.
- Resolve security-related tasks from a ticketing queue.
- Serve as Tier 3 support for alerts monitored by the Security Operations Center.
- Train junior members and other teams on Information Security.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering or software development.
- Proven experience with SOAR platforms like Torq or Splunk SOAR.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for API integration.
- Experience designing AI-driven automation or integrating AI capabilities.
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs and security tool integration.
- Experience in a Security Operations Center and knowledge of Incident Response lifecycles.
- Technical proficiency in the MITRE ATT&CK framework and current attack vectors.
- Proven experience securing complex, distributed technology environments.
