Base Salary
$147k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own feature areas end to end, from technical design and implementation through testing, deployment, and post-launch monitoring.
- Design, build, and ship secure, scalable, reliable, and performant features across the OIG system.
- Deliver bug fixes and address customer-reported issues.
- Write maintainable, well-tested code and uphold high engineering quality standards.
- Partner with Product Development, QA, and Site Reliability Engineering teams on development and deployment work.
- Architect and evolve enterprise access governance features across multiple personas.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience with the ability to independently deliver complex production features.
- Demonstrated experience architecting and delivering large-scale distributed systems for enterprise customers.
- Deep expertise in microservices, event-driven architectures, APIs, and data modeling at scale.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Go, or equivalent JVM/cloud-native languages.
- Experience designing systems that meet enterprise reliability, scalability, and security requirements, including multi-tenancy, high availability, audit logging, and RBAC/ABAC.
- Ability to influence technical alignment across teams and stakeholders without direct authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Preferred experience with identity, access management, governance, workflow or approval systems, enterprise SaaS platforms, cloud infrastructure, and observability tooling.

- Annual base salary ranges from $165,000–$227,000 in the San Francisco Bay Area and $147,000–$202,000 in specified other states, depending on location and qualifications.
