Responsibilities
- Establish the architecture and technical strategy for a maintainable, scalable frontend application.
- Lead the end-to-end product delivery lifecycle from requirements and design review through implementation, release, monitoring, and incident resolution.
- Design and implement complex frontend features using TypeScript and React.
- Mentor two frontend engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance while continuing hands-on development.
- Evolve state management, routing, performance, error handling, API integration, and multi-platform delivery across Web and WebView-based mobile applications.
- Collaborate with backend, design, robotics, operations, and business teams to deliver integrated user experiences.
- Improve reliability through logging, metrics, error tracking, and incident response.
- Contribute to frontend technology evaluation, platform improvements, agile workflow refinement, and CI/CD process improvements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on TypeScript and React experience.
- 3+ years developing applications for real users, including release and operations phases.
- Experience developing WebView-based mobile applications.
- Experience working with Git on teams of five or more engineers.
- Experience mentoring engineers and participating in technical decision-making.
- Experience collaborating closely with business and design teams.
- Effective English communication skills and willingness or ability to understand Japanese documentation and context.
- Preferred experience includes startup and large-scale organization environments, frontend observability, Jest, Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright, robotics, IoT, real-time telemetry dashboards, Japanese communication, .NET/C# backend development, and Blazor.
