Sound Transit is the regional transit authority serving the Central Puget Sound, headquartered in Seattle and formed in 1996. It plans, builds, and operates Link light rail, Sounder commuter rail, and ST Express regional bus service funded by voter-approved taxes, fares, and federal grants.
