Responsibilities
- Contribute to the growth of CockroachDB by building database migration tooling.
- Develop in Go, with opportunities to learn the language if not already familiar.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers across cloud and database teams.
- Participate in a collaborative culture and share knowledge with experienced colleagues.
- Identify challenges in database migrations and create solutions to simplify the process.
Requirements
- Passion for working on complex technical products.
- Exposure to distributed systems, data replication, concurrency control, or SQL processing.
- Comfort with programming languages like Go, C/C++, Java, and Python.
- Strong understanding of system design for high throughput data systems.
- Experience with one or more database technologies such as MySQL, Postgres, or Oracle.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships and engage in code reviews.
- 7+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
