Base Salary

$120k - $220k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Support, maintain, and extend the engineering design and analysis software suite for reliability and performance.
  • Develop and support scientific simulation tools executing large-scale, highly parallel workloads across hybrid, multi-cloud infrastructure.
  • Design and improve cloud-centric services and workflows to optimize computational efficiency and scalability.
  • Own multiple software components or systems across their full lifecycle.
  • Define, plan, and execute technical goals while serving as a functional or technical project lead.
  • Lead complex technical initiatives and collaborate with software engineers, electrical engineers, physicists, and external development partners.
  • Provide technical guidance to external software development partners and ensure alignment with internal standards.
  • Travel domestically between California offices and occasionally internationally.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience contributing to software development teams.
  • Proven ownership of multiple software components or systems across their full lifecycle.
  • Experience defining, planning, and executing technical goals, including serving as a functional or technical project lead.
  • Demonstrated leadership in complex technical initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation.
  • Ability to make high-impact decisions and work effectively with minimal supervision in dynamic environments.
  • Preferred experience building or maintaining numerically intensive applications for engineers and scientists.
  • Preferred experience with Python or other scripting languages, C/C++, C#, MATLAB, AWS, Linux, and Microsoft Windows.
  • Experience with electrical engineering, particularly RF products and systems, is highly desirable.
