Responsibilities

  • Operate and improve the reliability of cloud-native platforms running on Kubernetes.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps-based deployment workflows using FluxCD and ArgoCD.
  • Design and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform or similar tools.
  • Support cloud architecture, networking, and security configurations across cloud environments.
  • Implement and manage observability for metrics, logs, traces, and alerting using Datadog, OpenTelemetry, or similar platforms.
  • Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and service reliability metrics.
  • Participate in incident management, production troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Design and implement high-availability, fault-tolerance, and resilience strategies for distributed systems.
  • Develop automation and internal tooling to reduce operational toil and improve engineering productivity.
  • Contribute to platform architecture, solution intents, technical design documents, and Critical Design Reviews.
  • Explore AI-assisted DevOps and AIOps capabilities for monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational automation.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform reliability, performance, and operational maturity.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, with Azure preferred and AWS or GCP acceptable.
  • Strong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls, security groups, and NSGs.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud networking services including VNets, peering, VPNs, private endpoints, and ingress/egress patterns.
  • Experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues in distributed cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security and distributed systems concepts.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of observability principles and hands-on experience with Datadog or similar platforms.
  • Scripting or programming skills in Python or Go.
  • Experience or strong interest in AI-native DevOps practices and AI-assisted operational tooling using LLMs or emerging frameworks such as MCP.
  • Preferred experience with Istio or similar service mesh technologies, network performance optimization, container networking, high-availability patterns, AIOps tools, and technical architecture documentation.
