Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate production AI agents and automation for recurring program reporting using Claude, Claude Code, and enterprise systems.
- Own the program’s AI and automation roadmap, prioritizing work based on effort saved and risk reduced.
- Guide Technology Assurance, Risk and Policy teams on suitable AI and agentic AI applications and adoption practices.
- Define verification, reconciliation, escalation, prompt and context engineering, testing, documentation, and sensitive-data standards for AI systems.
- Build resilient unattended automation with error handling, secure credential management, logging, alerting, scheduling, version control, and documentation.
- Advise leadership on AI versus conventional solutions, including associated cost, risk, effort, and operational considerations.
- Evaluate AI tools and models, introduce valuable capabilities, and establish technical standards and reusable engineering patterns.
- Work with IT and Information Security to obtain approvals, connectivity, and ongoing support for AI tooling.
- Represent AI and automation strategy to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
- Develop AI engineering capability through reusable components, documented patterns, coaching, and practical working sessions.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in software, automation, or data engineering, including significant senior individual-contributor experience with production system ownership.
- Demonstrable production experience building solutions with Claude, Claude Code, and the Claude Agent SDK.
- Experience designing end-to-end agentic workflows and testing model output for reliability and repeatability.
- Strong Python skills, including document and data workflow automation with python-pptx, python-docx, openpyxl, pandas, or equivalent libraries.
- Experience with Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Graph, and Power Automate.
- Experience building unattended production systems with error handling, credential management, logging, alerting, and scheduling.
- Experience automating recurring operational or reporting processes end to end with demonstrable results.
- Experience working with large datasets from multiple systems, reconciling data, and assessing whether it supports reported conclusions.
- Experience setting technical standards through reviews, shared components, or documented patterns.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong English communication skills and ability to work with globally distributed teams.
- Preferred qualifications include enterprise AI integrations, governed AI adoption, model or agent framework evaluation, security or technology risk reporting, vulnerability management familiarity, technical coaching, and relevant cloud, data, or security engineering certification.
