Base Salary

$84k - $115k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test software applications for space systems and technologies.
  • Write clean, maintainable code according to coding standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to understand requirements and complete assigned tasks.
  • Use Git and other version control systems to manage code changes.
  • Participate in code reviews and troubleshoot software-related issues.
  • Document software designs, configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Stay current with software development and space technology trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Typically 0–2 years of experience.
  • Basic understanding of one or more programming languages and software development principles.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable code and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for the active clearance needed for employment.
  • Preferred: experience with embedded systems or software development through coursework, internships, or employment.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Python or C++.
  • Preferred: understanding of Agile or Scrum/Kanban methodologies, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.
