Base Salary
$200k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Work directly with health plan customers to understand claims workflows, data formats, and pain points and translate them into working software
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact during enterprise customer integrations and platform rollouts
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to health plan administrators
- Own end-to-end development of platform features, including requirements gathering, scoping, architecture, implementation, and testing
- Shape the technical roadmap and make key architectural decisions
- Influence the company’s product and technical strategy
- Build systems that ingest medical standards of care documents and evaluate provider adherence to guidelines
- Develop extensible systems supporting enterprise workflows and integrations
- Build AI/ML pipelines to analyze handwritten clinical notes, extract medical information, and automate recommendations for clinical reviewers
- Scale systems to process millions of healthcare records while maintaining security and compliance
- Help build and lead a growing engineering team
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building software applications
- Strong product sense and system design skills
- Track record of defining requirements, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria for complex systems
- Customer-oriented mindset and motivation to improve healthcare
- Hands-on technical leadership experience architecting robust and extensible systems, establishing best practices with AI coding tools, and shipping high-quality production code
- Experience with machine learning and large language models for end-user applications is a bonus
- Experience with healthcare data formats such as EDI X12, HL7, FHIR, and custom payer flat files is a bonus
