Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and written knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review functional requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, and support software based on technical designs.
- Lead architecture, design, implementation, architecture reviews, and code reviews for robust and scalable web services.
- Improve system quality by identifying issues and patterns, developing standard operating procedures, and enhancing existing applications.
- Maintain codebases, review code changes, investigate relevant technologies, and assist customer support with technical issues.
- Lead or participate in projects, mentor less experienced developers, and collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Drive cloud, DevOps, or AI modernization initiatives and translate AI innovation into business and productivity impact.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience in Java Full Stack Development.
- At least 10 years of experience in Java Enterprise Edition.
- At least 8 years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments and mission-critical, low-latency solutions.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with big data systems in the cloud.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Strong experience leading the architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit testing, test-driven development, functional testing, and performance testing.
- Experience with React, SQL and NoSQL databases, data architecture, Pulsar, Snowflake, software security tools and practices, and shell scripting is preferred or beneficial.
- Understanding of big data, machine learning, LLMs, automation, engineering toolchains, and AI modernization.
- Ability to operate across business strategy, product strategy, technical design, and implementation while leading cross-functional work.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, facilitation, decision-making, and mentoring skills.
