Responsibilities
- Translate business and system requirements into test strategies, scenarios, and plans.
- Design, develop, document, and maintain automated tests and testing tools for complex applications and ETL pipelines.
- Validate business rules, policies, data transformations, data pipelines, databases, and reports.
- Write maintainable automation code and software utilities using Java or Python and PL/SQL.
- Apply BDD, TDD, CI/CD, DevOps, and Quality Engineering practices.
- Measure and report QA metrics and identify opportunities to improve automation-platform maintainability.
- Collaborate with systems analysts, architects, developers, QE resources, and business stakeholders.
- Suggest improvements to processes, best practices, and engineering standards.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience predominantly in software testing or Quality Engineering, including ETL automation experience.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is specifically sought in the expertise section.
- At least 5 years of experience with object-oriented languages such as Java or Python and at least 5 years of automation scripting experience.
- Deep expertise in ETL testing, database testing, and ETL testing-process design.
- Strong Java or Python programming skills and hands-on Software Development in Test experience.
- Experience writing complex PL/SQL queries and validating reports with tools such as OBIEE or Tableau.
- Experience with ETL automation-validation tools such as Informatica and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Understanding of BDD, CI/CD, and DevOps concepts is mandatory.
- Non-functional testing experience is preferred.
- AWS or Azure certification is an advantage.
