Responsibilities
- Define and evolve scalable, resilient architectures for communication and customer-engagement platforms.
- Design and implement backend services, APIs, integration layers, prototypes, and reference implementations using containerized environments and Kubernetes.
- Architect GraphQL, REST, event-driven, streaming, and real-time systems integrated with enterprise platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and enterprise architecture teams to align solutions with target-state architecture and platform strategy.
- Establish architecture standards, reusable patterns, engineering guardrails, observability practices, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and drive simplification, scalability, performance, resiliency, and technical-debt reduction.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in backend architecture and distributed-systems design.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, GraphQL, REST, event-driven systems, microservices, and cloud-native platforms.
- Experience with distributed tracing, structured logging, metrics and alerting pipelines, messaging systems, dead-letter queues, workflow engines, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience building or supporting real-time or high-throughput systems.
- Proficiency in backend technologies such as Java, Kotlin, Node.js, Go, or similar.
- Ability to work across strategic architecture and hands-on implementation, including API lifecycle governance, system integration, orchestration, scalability, resiliency, and performance engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field.
- Preferred experience in financial services, secure and compliant systems, communications, MarTech, contact centers, personalization, campaign orchestration, voice, messaging, IVR, or omnichannel engagement platforms.
