Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, validate, and maintain high-performance C++ software applications.
- Use Unix/Linux operating systems for shell scripting, debugging, and system-level programming.
- Implement scalable and maintainable software using sound architecture and design practices.
- Collaborate with product management, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback on code quality and standards adherence.
- Troubleshoot and optimize software for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Integrate APIs, system libraries, and hardware interfaces.
- Develop and maintain technical specifications, user guides, and other documentation.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum planning, estimation, and development cycles.
- Support defense-system solutions across engineering disciplines and the software development lifecycle.
- Occasionally travel as required.
Requirements
- A STEM degree and at least 5 years of prior relevant experience are typically required.
- Professional experience developing software in C++.
- Experience working on Linux or Unix platforms.
- Experience debugging Unix/Linux environments using tools such as gdb or Valgrind.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an interim U.S. government Secret security clearance before starting.
- U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include an active Secret clearance, MATLAB development, network programming or interprocess communication, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Python or other scripting languages, real-time systems, embedded software, distributed systems, CMake, high-performance real-time software, parallel programming, hardware acceleration, and performance analysis or optimization.
