Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and test software on cross-functional Agile teams within budget, scope, and schedule constraints.
- Serve as a technical focal point for complex multi-platform training-device software and associated user interfaces.
- Debug multi-threaded software and develop high-quality, verifiable, maintainable, and readable code.
- Make team-level decisions affecting cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Support bidding and proposal activities for new business.
- Capture and analyze software and systems engineering requirements and provide engineering estimates.
- Work independently with limited supervision and lead limited development activities.
- Travel to domestic and international customer sites for training events and product installations.
Requirements
- A STEM degree and at least five years of relevant experience, or an advanced related degree and at least three years of experience.
- An active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance before the start date; U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
- Experience with multi-threaded C# or Java software applications, database interfaces, and object-oriented programming.
- Preferred experience with WPF, C++, STL, templates, Linux, Windows, Visual Studio, Eclipse, source-control tools, and ALM tools.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, leadership potential, and willingness to share knowledge and develop peers.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps and Agile development methodologies.
- Active Department of Defense security clearance within the stated 24-month preference.
