Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and support software applications for vehicle manufacturing and electrical-system validation.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex software, hardware, and system-integration issues affecting manufacturing test processes.
- Support software validation using test benches, development hardware, and production vehicles.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, product engineering, IT, validation, and plant teams to develop and deploy reliable solutions.
- Conduct technical problem solving, root-cause investigations, and corrective-action implementation.
- Improve application performance, reliability, usability, and maintainability through continuous improvement.
- Integrate software with manufacturing equipment, plant systems, vehicle communication networks, and enterprise platforms.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, technical documentation, and software release processes.
Requirements
- Strong programming experience in C, C++, C#, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting software applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues involving software, hardware, and system integrations.
- Experience with source-control tools and modern software development practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with manufacturing, engineering, IT, and operations teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Preferred experience with automotive manufacturing, end-of-line testing, vehicle diagnostics, manufacturing test systems, or production-critical industrial software.
- Preferred familiarity with CAN, UDS, DoIP, GitHub, Jira, Visual Studio, vehicle electrical systems, validation environments, plant-floor applications, or operational technology.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
