Responsibilities
- Contribute to the architecture and design of scalable SaaS product features.
- Build and maintain robust, high-performing, clean, efficient, and testable software.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, support teams, and engineers to deliver product features.
- Optimize application performance, cloud resources, database performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Write unit and integration tests, conduct code reviews, and maintain coding standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Investigate and resolve software issues and bugs.
- Implement security features and support compliance with security best practices and regulatory standards.
- Document software development, deployment, and maintenance processes.
- Stay current with technologies and industry trends and contribute to continuous product improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience, including significant SaaS or cloud-platform experience.
- Strong proficiency in one or more SaaS development languages, such as Golang, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience with AWS or Google Cloud and an understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, and containerization.
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB, with database optimization experience.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools such as Jira and GitHub.
- Proficiency with Git and strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience building and scaling high-availability, high-traffic SaaS applications.
- Preferred familiarity with microservices architecture, cloud-native application patterns, test automation, web application security, data encryption, and secure coding practices.
- Preferred experience mentoring or leading engineering teams.
