Base Salary
$87k - $157k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop software for complex defense systems in a Linux environment.
- Develop software in a SAFe environment using Jira and GitLab.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and other functional groups to implement software functionality.
- Apply software engineering best practices including peer reviews, automated testing, unit testing, and documentation.
- Debug and troubleshoot software in a hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) environment.
- Support the complete software lifecycle for mission-critical counter-UAS and missile defense solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university with 4+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
- Strong competency in C/C++ and Python.
- Experience throughout the software development lifecycle and with software best practices such as peer reviews, automated testing, and document generation.
- Experience collaborating with systems engineering, electrical engineering, test, and other functional groups.
- Experience working in an Agile environment or equivalent and using Jira and GitLab or equivalent tools.
- Experience developing with Qt IDE or equivalent and in a Linux environment.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting and testing software in an HWIL environment.
- Currently living in Huntsville, Alabama or willing to relocate.
- Currently holds or can obtain a Secret clearance.
- Preferred experience includes Buildroot, VMware, Wireshark, UDP/TCP network communications, CI/CD pipeline maintenance, and DoD acquisition processes and methods.
