Base Salary
$140k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on cloud infrastructure consulting for clients both remotely and on site.
- Design and prepare scalable client infrastructure supporting high availability, disaster recovery, backup, redundancy, capacity, and security.
- Deploy and configure Thought Machine Vault products on client, SaaS, and internal cloud infrastructure.
- Advise clients on cloud infrastructure optimization and broader digital transformation initiatives.
- Support and troubleshoot infrastructure while deploying appropriate monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
- Incorporate client feedback into improvements to Thought Machine products and platforms.
- Support commercial teams and cloud provider partners with infrastructure questions during presales.
- Travel to client sites for up to 25% of the time.
Requirements
- Explain technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with Linux/Unix administration, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Istio, and automation or configuration management tools such as Terraform, Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
- Have experience with AWS or GCP.
- Desirably hold experience and certifications in at least two cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Desirably have experience with enterprise secrets management, production support for mission-critical systems, hybrid cloud technologies, observability tools, and databases such as CockroachDB, AlloyDB, or Aurora.
- A strong background in Go, Python, or Java is desirable.
