Base Salary
$140k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on cloud infrastructure consulting onsite and remotely.
- Design and prepare client cloud infrastructure for scalable Thought Machine Vault deployments, including high availability, disaster recovery, backups, redundancy, capacity, and security.
- Deploy and configure Vault products on client, SaaS, and internal cloud infrastructure.
- Advise clients on cloud infrastructure optimization and broader digital transformation initiatives.
- Support and troubleshoot client, SaaS, and internal infrastructure, including monitoring, logging, and alerting deployments.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to incorporate client feedback into product and platform improvements.
- Support commercial teams and cloud provider partners with infrastructure questions during presales.
- Work across the full project lifecycle and travel to client sites for up to 25% of the time.
Requirements
- Explain technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Have hands-on experience with Linux or Unix administration, such as Ubuntu or Debian.
- Have experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and Istio.
- Have experience with automation or configuration management tools such as Terraform, Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
- Have experience with AWS or GCP.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure certifications is desirable, including relevant Solutions Architect or Cloud Architect certifications.
- Experience with enterprise secrets management systems, production support for mission-critical systems, hybrid cloud technologies, observability tools, or databases such as CockroachDB, AlloyDB, or Aurora is desirable.
- A strong background in Go, Python, or Java is desirable.
