Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate highly available, elastic, scalable, operable, and observable infrastructure platforms.
- Own end-to-end architecture and design for complex systems and contribute to the team’s technology vision.
- Build or adapt tools that enable engineering teams to self-manage their infrastructure and services.
- Lead long-term technology strategies, cross-cutting initiatives, and architecture redesigns.
- Establish engineering best practices and drive adoption of relevant technologies and tools.
- Document technical decisions and lead clear architecture presentations and discussions.
- Mentor the team toward engineering and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of professional experience in infrastructure or production engineering.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes or similar cloud and infrastructure platforms.
- Experience with DevOps principles and practices, including infrastructure as code, CI/CD, testing, and proactive monitoring.
- Deep understanding of operating systems, virtualization, containerization, and network protocols and concepts.
- Experience building and operating distributed systems.
- Hands-on coding experience in Python or Go.
- Familiarity with unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation.
- Ability to technically mentor and lead a team.
