Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, design, and evolution of enterprise-grade test automation frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
- Build Java-based automation frameworks and reusable utilities, base classes, and shared components using object-oriented principles.
- Develop automated tests across UI, API, integration, end-to-end, and backend layers, including database validation.
- Use Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and JUnit to create maintainable automation based on patterns such as Page Object Model.
- Apply AI-driven testing capabilities such as intelligent test generation, self-healing automation, test optimization, anomaly detection, and defect pattern analysis.
- Diagnose and resolve test failures, flakiness, synchronization issues, and locator problems through debugging, refactoring, and optimization.
- Integrate automated test suites with Jenkins and Bitbucket to support continuous testing and rapid feedback.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, solution design, code reviews, and quality engineering best practices.
- Partner with engineering, product, platform, and DevOps teams in Agile environments and mentor the quality engineering community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 6–8+ years of experience in test automation, SDET, or quality engineering roles with a strong engineering focus.
- Strong hands-on Core Java programming experience, including object-oriented programming, collections, exception handling, and basic concurrency or multithreading.
- Deep hands-on Selenium WebDriver experience, including Page Objects, XPath and CSS locators, synchronization, and test stability practices.
- Experience with TestNG and/or JUnit, Maven or Gradle, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with API testing using Rest Assured and SQL-based backend validation.
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and TDD/BDD principles.
- Experience completing hands-on Java and Selenium coding exercises and live technical interviews.
- Preferred experience with cloud environments, Docker, Kubernetes, JMeter, and Agile or DevOps environments.
