Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Fluent Commerce order-orchestration workflows, including states, rulesets, triggers, and user actions.
  • Develop Java rules with the Fluent SDK for validation, sourcing, allocation, fulfilment, and notifications.
  • Build and consume Fluent Commerce GraphQL queries and mutations for order, fulfilment, inventory, availability, returns, and location data.
  • Build and extend OMX UX Framework interfaces, custom form fields, and configured web apps.
  • Integrate Fluent Commerce with commerce platforms, ERP, WMS, POS, payment, carrier, and third-party logistics systems using webhooks, connectors, and middleware.
  • Configure inventory and sourcing logic, including Available-to-Promise, fulfilment-location networks, and sourcing strategies.
  • Write automated tests for rules and workflows and validate behavior with Postman and the GraphQL explorer.
  • Package and deploy modules or plugins across environments and support monitoring and release processes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues involving stuck orders and waves by inspecting audit events and workflow paths.
  • Contribute to technical design, code reviews, documentation, estimation, mentoring, and Fluent Commerce best-practice sharing.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional software development experience with strong core Java skills.
  • Hands-on Fluent Commerce or Fluent Order Management experience with workflows, rules, and the Fluent SDK; comparable OMS or orchestration experience may be considered for candidates willing to certify quickly.
  • Solid GraphQL experience, including schemas, queries, mutations, REST, JSON, and API design.
  • Understanding of event-driven and asynchronous architectures, webhooks, message handling, and distributed-service integration.
  • Experience integrating commerce front ends, ERP, WMS, POS, carrier, and other enterprise systems through APIs and middleware.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, preferably AWS, Git-based version control, and deployment pipelines.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills involving complex orchestration engines.
  • Clear written and verbal English communication and ability to work with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Fluent Commerce certification or a clear plan to obtain it; certification is required within the specified post-joining period.
  • Front-end experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or React is preferred.
  • Experience with composable or MACH commerce, retail order management, omnichannel fulfilment, or other OMS platforms is preferred.
  • Exposure to AWS Lambda, containers, and infrastructure-as-code is preferred.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
