Responsibilities
- Lead the development of AI/ML infrastructure for multi-billion parameter foundation models.
- Collaborate with the Waymo Realism Modeling team to enhance simulation realism.
- Drive architectural decisions and manage large, complex systems.
- Design and scale distributed systems for the ML lifecycle.
- Translate product goals into measurable technical deliverables.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 3+ years in machine learning infrastructure.
- Experience with tools like DeepSpeed, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Ray.
- Strong understanding of state-of-the-art machine learning models and algorithms.
- Proven leadership skills in driving ambiguous problems end-to-end.
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts.
