Base Salary

$165k - $235k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and maintain a scalable Python/C++ test execution engine for company-wide automated testing.
  • Build ML evaluation pipelines using large datasets and synthetic simulation edge cases to detect model regressions.
  • Orchestrate end-to-end autonomy and navigation tests across simulation and CI/CD systems.
  • Develop software for hardware-in-the-loop rigs and tools for compute, memory, and real-time performance profiling.
  • Package test software for secure, operator-friendly end-of-line factory hardware validation.
  • Enforce design-for-testability standards and require code to support mocking and unit testing.
  • Mentor engineers on automated testing practices and provide technical leadership across engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 6 years of software engineering experience focused on test infrastructure, automation frameworks, or CI/CD tooling for complex systems.
  • Expert Python proficiency, including object-oriented programming, system architecture, and test frameworks such as Pytest.
  • Strong C++ proficiency, including Google Test and Catch2, for architectural interfaces with robotics middleware.
  • Experience with Linux, Bash scripting, Docker, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Buildkite.
  • Systems-level understanding of software interactions with physical hardware and experience diagnosing robotics integration failures.
  • Familiarity with testing AI/ML models, robotics perception stacks, or other non-deterministic systems at scale.
  • Preferred experience with ROS 2, eCAL, custom publish/subscribe architectures, and test-reporting dashboards using Grafana, Foxglove, or custom web interfaces.
